I am Patrick W. Schubert Sr.

To the Citizens of South Dakota,

My name is Patrick W. Schubert Sr. I am writing you this letter to inform you that I am announcing a run for South Dakota's United States Senator seat currently held by John Thune. I will run under the Republican banner of many colors high atop the Shining City Upon a Hill, but in the same breath, I want to make it unmistakably clear I will run as an American first. The National Republican establishment can not be trusted and the Democrats need medication. I stand behind and for My God, My Country and My Family, no exceptions.

Currently I have been in the Rapid City area for 8 years. I have lived here a total of over 12 years after moving here 3 different times since 1989. I was born in Camden, New Jersey but after I found out about the beauty of South Dakota I was hooked. I came back for summers when work was slow back East. When I returned to New Jersey in 2002 to care for the last of my family, my wife and I waited for the day we could return. I did not waste my time while away from what I consider my adopted Home State.

I have held many jobs throughout my life. The majority of those jobs, I went in as a laborer or at the lowest position to get in the door. Almost every time I have moved as far up the ladder as possible in the shortest time imaginable. I understand the average American because that is what I am. I have lived my entire life with a blue collar. I have worked in many fields from pallet yards in my teen years to managing high speed, multi-line production facilities. I have always led by example, my guys worked hard because I always worked harder than them, even as the boss. I am currently working on building a software company that is poised to revolutionize the Collectibles Markets.

I made a living holding shady politicians feet to the fire while I was in New Jersey. I ran for office many times and strongly participated in my government there and I did exceptionally well in a state that has fully completed the Democrat Fantasy Reality Course. I have forced Mayors and county heads to retire and I have gone toe to toe with the New Jersey Senate President a time or two. I’ve also put government legal teams to shame. I will never stop working to keep Government in its proper place and only engaging in carrying out its 3 Duties; Preserve, Protect and Defend the Republic.

I want to make a difference in the lives of my fellow South Dakotans in a way I think only I can. I have survived the plantation states, and thrived. I have fought almost every personal fight that can be fought. I have expanded my knowledge base and gained resiliency. I have stood up to the most powerful leaders and power brokers the East Coast had to offer, and I sat them down. I have stood up to Banks, Labor Unions, bad employers and politicians of all types from both parties to try and improve people's lives. I have worked the 40, 60 and 80 hour weeks. I have paid mightily to have Health Insurance with high deductibles that provided little to no coverage. A large majority of us have paid fines for not having insurance. I have broken my back to pay some insane taxes and fees heaped upon the backs of us all.

I have seen, lived and resolved many problems some have faced and others will face again in the future. I have also seen the ineffectiveness of our current government. I am a strict Constitutionalist who will always err on the side of keeping Government out of people's lives and pockets. Government has only ever succeeded at one thing, failing at everything. This needs to be changed. We can no longer live under the decisions of those in charge when they are using the growth of their personal wealth as the measuring stick for Legislative success.

I have been what most would consider poor my entire life and I don't mind it a bit. I will gladly release my tax return info. Our household income has never been more than $75,000 a year. I know how the average American has to live, I live just like you. I prefer jeans, work pants or sweats with a t-shirt but its clear its time to at least buy a tie. I feel that I must put myself in the arena to defend this land that we all love. John has proven he will not stand against what the Democrats are doing.

Constitutional minded and patriotic Republicans are positioned for long term leadership across America and I think I could be an enhancement to the processes that have already begun. We had some common sense in the White House but now we have a team of pigeons crapping on everything American and strutting around like they have actually won something. I will bring new ideas to the table that will change the reactive nature of today’s Republicans. They do little more than put a Republican twist on liberal ideas. There is nothing about liberal ideas that allows for Freedom outside the most elite liberal circles.

South Dakota needs a strong Representative that understands the political gimmicks that turn great states and our Federal Government into cash absorbing, debt generating mismanaged systems of inequality, graft and corruption. We also require someone who can butt heads with the establishment and let them know that South Dakota is a great state, filled with some incredibly strong and industrious people that feed the nation we call home and we have seen enough of what is going on. We are ‘The Heartland’. We hold the moral fiber of our nation by our example and own the moral high ground. Its time we are more respected for our hard work. No longer will we stand like a statue in the background trying to be silent and invisible while our freedoms and rights are decimated.

61.8% of South Dakotans voted for President Trump on or before November 3, 2020. Post election John said that efforts to overturn the election “would go down like a shot dog”. So, if true, massive election fraud would be akin to Old Yeller and we should just dig a hole, throw in the carcass and close the hole. That is not Protecting our Voter Integrity. When the digital Nazis came for our voice, John didn’t protect our Freedom of Speech. John has been silent on many topics that when ignored have allowed the Democrats to run rough shot over the Bill of Rights. Nothing done since Biden’s Inauguration has been done to preserve this Republic and John appears OK with that.

I enter this process wholeheartedly and without reservation. I have put years of preparation, thought and discussion into this. I know my life experiences, strength, determination, leadership skills and resiliency will be a great benefit to us all. My ability to assess problems and determine real solutions can help break the cycle of creating problems and then resolving them with the worst possible solutions.

It is at this point I would like to make myself available to all of the County Political Parties of South Dakota, regardless of party. I would also extend the same invitation to any religious or civic group or entity that would like to know more about where I stand on the issues that are important to the continued growth of South Dakota and the rebirth of these Great United States of America.

I look forward to coming to what I am sure will be the toughest town halls in the United States.

With the utmost humility and hope for all of our futures.

Patrick W. Schubert Sr.
